1. Add the first 8 ingredients to a large Ziploc bag.
2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt and 1/8 teaspoon of fresh black pepper.
3. Seal the bag and shake to mix together all of the ingredients.
4. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with the remaining salt and pepper.
5. Add oil to a large skillet and heat.
6. Add the pork chops and cook for 4 minutes per side.
7. In a small bowl, add the cornstarch and 1/4 cup of the reserved marinade.
8. Whisk well and set aside.
9. Pour the marinade in the Ziploc bag into the skillet with the pork chops.
10. Bring the mixture to a boil.
11. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 4 minutes.
12. Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
13. Serve the pork chops drizzled with the sauce.
