Pan Fried Pork Chops With Apple Cider Gravy

 
Ingredients -

4 Loin Pork Chops
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 cup Beef Stock
1 cup Apple Cider
1/2 teaspoon Ground Thyme
1 Bay Leaf
Salt and Pepper, to taste

 
Preparation:

1. Add some vegetable oil to a large skillet over medium heat.

2. Add the pork chops and brown on both sides.

3. Remove the chops to a plate.

4. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and a little beef stock to make a liquid paste.

5. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the pan drippings and whisk to pick up the pieces.

6. Gradually add the rest of the stock, constantly stirring to make the mixture smooth.

7. Add the next 3 ingredients and cook over medium heat, until it thickens, stirring regularly.

8. Cooking time should be about 4 minutes.

9. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

10. Remove the bay leaf before ready to serve.
