Mexican Style Pork Chops

 
Ingredients -

6 Pork Chops (1/2 to 3/4 inch thick)
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
3/4 cup Uncooked Rice
1-1/2 cups Water
1 (8 ounces) can Tomato Sauce
1 envelope Taco Seasoning Mix
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Green Bell Pepper, cut into rings

 
Preparation:

1. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt.

2. Add the oil to a skillet over medium high heat.

3. Add the chops and brown on both sides.

4. Drain the pork chops on paper towels.

5. Add the chops to a baking dish sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

6. In a medium bowl combine the rest of the ingredients.

7. Spoon the mixture around the chops and cook in a 350 oven for 45 minutes.

8. Serve and enjoy.
